2020 Payments & Registration Processing

Earlier this week YWCA Vermont Camp Hochelaga’s Board of Directors and Year-Round Staff Team shared with everyone in our camp community our unanimous decision to suspend camp sessions and programs for the 2020 season. We hope you received and had an opportunity to read the full letter sharing this news and discussing our team’s process for coming to this decision. In our initial letter sharing this update about our 2020 camp season, we also included a video of Hochelaga’s Director reading a letter to our campers as a resource to help deliver this news to your camper(s).

Financial Information & Options: In the face of these unprecedented challenges, it is more important than ever to come together in communities of support. We recognize the financial hardships many families are now facing. Acknowledging that we serve a community with a wide array of financial stories, we are offering three options for all registrations and tuition payments made to date for the 2020 camp season. These three options are offered to all registered families, regardless of session or tier price chosen. We encourage each family to choose the option that best fits their needs. 

2020 Registration & Tuition Options

  • Transfer 2020 registration to summer 2021. If you choose this option, your camper(s) will be registered for the equivalent session, and all payments made to date will be transferred to the 2021 season. Camp Hochelaga is offering 2021 camp sessions at the same tuition rate as 2020. If you would like to transfer your registration(s) to a different 2021 session, please select this option and contact Camp Hochelaga to indicate your session of interest. 
  • Receive a full refund of all tuition paid, including deposit. Please choose this option if it is the best fit for your family’s current needs. 

 

  • Donate payments made to date for the 2020 season partially or in full to sustain Camp Hochelaga. We ask you to consider this option ONLY if it is a good fit for your family at this time. We are doing everything we can to streamline and reduce overhead costs as we prepare to weather the coming months in a way that will allow us to keep our doors open and be ready for a strong 2021 season. If you are in a position to choose this option, please know that your donated funds will be used in full to support only costs deemed absolutely necessary.

Camp Hochelaga strives to issue all requested refunds and to process all registration transfers within three weeks of receiving your response form (link above). That said, we ask for your understanding as we integrate this new process and work to connect with the more than 650 families currently registered for our 2020 season. 

Moving forward, we are committed to staying in touch with you and your camper(s), and we strive to offer you resources to bring the spirit of camp to your home as much as possible this summer.
