Financial Equity & Scholarship at Camp Hochelaga

Camp Hochelaga utilizes a 3-tiered tuition rate in addition to our Circle of Girls+ Scholarship to encourage diversity, equity, and belonging. By using this structure where our lower priced two tiers are now part of our scholarship program, we maintain the accessibility of camp while being honest with you about what it costs to have our camp be a mission-aligned place.

This leads our current Tiers to reflect the following:

Tier A: Cost of camp operations
Tier B: Lowered Tuition Rate (Scholarship Tier 1)
Tier C: Lowered Tuition Rate (Scholarship Tier 2)
Circle of Girls+: Lowered Tuition Rate in which you will follow up with an additional form to select your desired financial scholarship support.

We ask households to please select the highest reasonable Tier to support our camp community and programming. The two lower priced tiers are available to everyone. You do not need to apply or send in your financial information. We hope with this structure, we will be able to meet the needs of all the families who apply to our Circle of Girls+ program.

  • Overnight Camp

    Please be sure to register for changeover sessions ($100/each) if you want your camper to stay between consecutive sessions.

  • Mini-Camp

    Rates:

    Tier A: $950

  • Counselors in Training

    During our 2026 season, our CIT program will be prioritizing acceptance of rising 12th grade participants. As to avoid heavily disrupting traditional patterns and expectations within our community, we will still be accepting CIT applications from rising 11th graders for this summer. Beginning with our 2027 season, we will only be accepting applications from rising 12th grade individuals.

    July 12th - August 14th (5 weeks)

    Prospective CITs must complete our CIT Application prior to enrolling

Drop-Offs & Pick-Ups at Camp Hochelaga

Overnight Campers, CITs & Mini-Campers

Drop Off (Overnight & CIT)
Drop off will be Sunday afternoon between the following times:

Rising 9th - 11th grades & CITs: 3:00pm-3:45pm
Rising 6th - 8th grades: 3:45pm-4:30pm
Rising 2nd - 5th grades: 4:30pm-5:15pm

Pick Up (Overnight, CIT & Mini-Camp)
Pick up will be Friday afternoon between the following times:

Rising 2nd - 5th grades: 3:00pm-3:45pm
Rising 6th - 8th grades: 3:45pm-4:30pm
Rising 9th - 11th grades & CITs: 4:30pm-5:15pm

If your camper is staying for multiple sessions and you have opted for changeover activities, you can pick your camper up on the last Friday of their multiple sessions.

Day Campers & Mini-Campers

If you are not taking the bus to camp: Drop-Off is between 8:15am-8:30am (Mon-Fri) and Pick-Up is between 4:45pm-5:00pm (Mon-Fri)

*Please let us know if you are running late, or if you need to pick your camper up early.

Camp Hochelaga offers free bus rides from the Burlington area in the University Mall parking lot (on Dorset Street) with a stop at the Chimney Corners Park & Ride on Route 7 in Milton.

This full-size school bus will be staffed by Hochelaga counselors.

Please ensure that you have a valid Driver’s license or Identification when picking up your camper. Please make sure whoever picks up your camper is on their approved pickup list. We will not release your camper without proper identification or approval. If anything changes last-minute please give us a call.

7:30am – Depart from Burlington Location
8:00am – Depart from Chimney Corners Park & Ride
8:30am – Arrive at Camp Hochelaga

Afternoon Drop Off/Pickup*

4:45pm – Depart from Camp Hochelaga
5:00pm – Drop off at Chimney Corners Park & Ride
5:30pm – Drop off at Burlington Location

*Please note that our team is doing their best to transition 30 campers from programming to the bus and the bus can often run 10 minutes late. Any later our team will notify you.

  • Changeover Activities

    Each weekend between sessions, we offer special programming either at camp or off-site for our campers staying multiple consecutive weeks.

    Changeover activities in the past have included: hikes at local state parks, trips to local museums, indoor rock climbing, drive-in movies and so much more!

  • Get the Gear

    Our Camp Store is CURRENTLY OPEN for the holidays (Dec 8-18) so that you can give your camper (or self) a little piece of camp to either remind them of their home-away-from-home during the long winter, or help get excited for the summer ahead.

    Beyond these dates, our Camp Store will be CLOSED until our next camp season. During the summer, our online store is open 24/7 for anyone who would like to purchase anything (from anywhere in the US*).

    Our Camp Store is available to campers on check-in days (Overnight & CIT), one+ weekday per-session (all camp), and check-out days (all camp).

Cancellation Policy

Please notify the camp office immediately if you need to cancel your child’s enrollment. Cancellation must be in writing or by telephone at least two weeks in advance of the camper’s arrival at camp. Cancellation notices received less than 2 weeks from the start of the session registered are not eligible for refund. The deposit fee is non-refundable.*

We reserve the right to withdraw, with no refund, any camper whose influence or actions are deemed harmful or who will not live within the rules and policies of the camp. Homesickness is not a condition for refund.

*Exception may be made to refund a deposit should you have been a Circle of Girls+ Scholarship applicant no longer able to accept enrollment for the scholarship awarded.
